Fat Robin
This pattern is
available for free.
This sweet Fat Robin is an interactive toy. The little blue eggs fit neatly under the robin’s wings for safe keeping as she sits in her nest.
The robin is knit in one piece in the round from the bottom to the top of the head. The wing and tail overlay is knit in one piece from the top down. With a few quick stitches to attach the wing/tail piece to the body you are done. There is very little finishing with this project.
The nest has a fun fringe stitch for the edging that is worked in as you go.
I love robins and I am thrilled to have finally made a knit version.
Enjoy!
Robin: 5” tall x 3½“ wide;
Eggs: 1¼” long;
Nest: 1¾“ tall and 5”across
