You will use the amigirumi method of stitching. It is very easy to work up, and can make a quick gift for a friend or for your collection of crocheted toys.
You will need to use a light-weight (size 3) in tan color for the cake portion of the doughnut and a second color of the same weight for the icing. You will need approximately 2-3 oz of both colors. A size US 6/4.00mm crochet hook and a stitch marker will help you keep your place. I

This is a project where you will be ‘working in the rounds’. You will not begin each new round with a ch-1 stitch but rather, work right into the next round in the stitch where you have placed your marker.
