Fatherland Cowl is a sister pattern to Fatherland Sweater, a tribute to my home country - Ukraine. The cowl pattern is available through purchase of a kit from Thread and Maple (available in limited quantities on Saturday 1/13/2024). $30 USD/40 CAD from each kit is being donated to UNICEF as they work on providing healthcare, education and protection of Ukrainian children.

Gauge: 22 sts x 26 rows in stockinette colorwork on main size needles
Needles: for the main needles, you’ll need a pair of circular needles in a size you can obtain gauge with (above), a pair in 2 sizes smaller than main needles for ribbing and a pair in one size smaller than ribbing - for the cast on.
Suggested needle sizes: US5 (main needle), US3 (ribbing needle), US2 (cast on needle).
