The Faux Cable Square is a fairly simple pattern that utilizes strategically placed ch-1 spaces to make it easy to add slip stitches to the surface of the square and create faux cables. I learned this technique from Robyn Chachula (aka Crochet By Faye) and have been playing around with it a lot lately in recent designs.
