This is a pdf knitting pattern, written in English, using standard US terminology, for you to knit a worsted weight Faux Cables Pumpkin Beanie photo prop for babies in sizes preemie (and 18” doll) to one year.

This seasonal hat will add a fun and whimsical element to your fall and Halloween photography sessions. This hat can also be used year round, minus the knitted leaf. Please always remember to use this prop with supervision.

And, for those of you who are doll collectors, this is a lovely pattern to work up to add to your doll’s wardrobe!

SIZES: Preemie (18” Doll) Newborn, 0-3 months, Small Sitter, Large Sitter

This pattern is well-suited to an intermediate knitter as it requires you to be able to knit in the round.

It requires worsted weight yarn on 5mm (US8) needles. You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, slip a stitch, pass a slipped stitch over other stitches, and knit two stitches together.

MY GAUGE: 18 sts + 24 rows = 10x10 cms / 4”X4”
