The 3 in 1 stitch that my newest shawl uses has been on my mind for years. I originally found/used the stitch in Auditions by KnitPurl Hunter and just love the movement of the colors. I’ve been playing around with shawl shapes and ideas for the stitch since I started designing in 2019 and finally settled on a traditional triangle shape to really make the colors and stitch shine.

Faux Hounds is a top down triangle shawl that starts with a garter tab cast on and then moves into alternating slip stitch patterns. 3 in 1 stitch is easy to memorize and is a great way to use mini skeins, gradients, or leftovers!

US 4 (3.5 mm) 32 inch (80 cm) circular or longer

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle
Stitch Marker

GAUGE
22 stitches and 28 garter bumps = 4 inches (10 cm) in blocked 3 in 1 pattern

Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge if necessary!
