Have you always loved the look of knit hats? Then this crochet hat pattern is for you. A simple variation of regular half double crochet stitch will give you this knit or tunisian crochet look. Using a smooth yarn will give you a knit look while using a regular one will give you a tunisian crochet look. The single ply smooth green yarn I used in the sample was Stitch Nations Full O’ Sheep It was discontinued but you can find it on Ebay. I got the purple and grey yarn from a local yarn store. Lion Brand Landscapes yarn could be a good substitute. You can even use the regular yarns available but it would look more tunisian than knit like the cream hat above.
