The Faux Paws Beanie is a folded brimmed beanie with open-work paw prints on the brim. This pattern design has 2 different versions, a double brim (brim folded to the inside and knitted together, (under separate cover), and a folded brim version, a textured beanie. Both are for an adult average head size. These instructions are for the folded brim version.

Solid color or tonal yarns in 2 high contrast colors are suggested to see the open-work paw stitch. It is better to use a darker color as Color B, the body and high contrast lighter color for Color A, the brim. Just be sure to have the brim and body colors very high contrast to each other. Avoid yarn with variegated colors for the brim, as you will not see the open-work paw print stitch very well. Smoother yarns with less texture and halo would be best.

Sizing is adjustable in multiples of 4 stitches.

Yarn Suggestions:

Worsted
-Cascade 220
-Malabrigo Rios, Worsted or Washted (increase CO to 84 sts)
-Any worsted weight yarn

2 colors, Color A - 40-50 yards, Color B - 100-110 yards.

Note: Some yarns, like Malabrigo Rios are Lt. worsted, which are more WPI (wraps per inch) and will change the number you may need to cast on. My sample is done in Cascade 220, with a cast on of 80 stitches.

Lt. Bulky
-Malabrigo Mecha

2 Colors, Color A - 50 - 60 yards, Color B - 90 - 100 yards
