Faye Pixie Cape
This pattern has almost no counting of rows or stitches. Instead, I use easy measurements. This means that gauge is actually unimportant, and the sizing is adjustable. I used just over 2 cakes of Cookie yarn for the sample (colourway Limelight) but it could really work with almost any kind of light to medium weight yarn, since the pattern works with measurements.
I’ve tried to keep the wording and instructions simple and easy, so that you can read less and crochet more. There are photo instructions at every stage to help. It is suited to intermediate skill level, but would also suit confident beginners.
I added 2 extra options in the pattern: one for a cape without a hood, and one for turning it into a poncho. The instructions for these are a bit bare bones, but a confident crocheter should be able to make sense of it. More detail would require writing separate patterns, which I might do at a later stage.
This pattern has been tested extensively, but mistakes can always creep in. If so, please message me and I will fix it, or explain where needed.
Thank you so much for your support! I hope you enjoy creating it, as well as wearing or gifting it!
Best, Christel
