Feather
Feather is a huge, wrap-sized reversible chevron scarf that features a textured faux-cable centered decrease and a soft, feathery look. It’s knit in aran or heavy worsted yarn (what you call it depends more on your location than anything else, I think), and the result is a huge, cozy scarf, and freedom from any worries about wearing it inside out.
You’ll need 550-650 yards of worsted weight/aran yarn, a big tapestry needle, and US 9-10/5.5-6mm needles (straight, or a circular used for flat knitting), depending on your individual knitting tension/style.
Knit at the provided gauge, this scarf ends up being about 13” wide and 67” long, though you can knit it longer or shorter if you like. I think 66-72” is a good length for this style of scarf, as it helps balance the heft of the yarn and the generous width a little.
