The Feather and Fan Scarf

Materials:
• Approximately 500 yards sport, Shetland, or DK weight yarn.
• Two Size #3 straight, double-point (if you use stoppers on the ends) or one circular needle.

Finished measurement:
• Approximately 6” by 72”

Abbreviations used:
• K=Knit
• P= Purl
• st(s) = stitch or stitches
• fwd= forward
• YO = Yarnover
• tog = together
• sl = slip

Thank you to the late Elizabeth Zimmerman for teaching us how to do “built-in I-cord.” In this pattern her technique allows the Feather and Fan stitch pattern to lay flat and never curl!
