Feather and Flow Slouch
Sometimes you get an idea based on a beautiful stitch pattern. Other times, inspiration comes in the form of an image or a walk through the woods. In this case, though, this design was born at one of my favorite vendors at Rhinebeck, Sawkill Farm. It was love at first squeeze when I grabbed a skein of their gorgeous, rustic DK yarn. I knew right away that this skein was meant for me, and was meant to be a slouchy hat with some romantic curves. When I got home and cast on, the whole thing came together just like I knew it would, like it was meant to be.
Yarn: Approximately 200 yards of DK weight yarn. The sample was knit in DK Yarn (50% Sawkill Farm Wool / 50% Domestic Merino / 96g / 300 yards) by Sawkill Farm in the colorway Rhode Island Red, Dark.
