Feather bookmark
Nature holds so much beauty, and the colours and shapes of feathers have always fascinated me. There are so many possibilities to use colour, so why don’t you grab leftovers of your favourite multicoloured yarn - or a few solid colours - and knit yourself a bookmark or two?
They each use just a little yarn and are a great way to create a keepsake of that yarn you love so much that you can’t bear to throw away the last few metres.
Besides bookmarks, they make wonderful zipper pulls, decorations or even earrings or pendants.
Materials:
2.5 mm/US 1 1/2 knitting needles, I used 2 dpns
Fingering or sport weight yarn, 5-10 m/5-11 yds
Gauge:
28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm/4” in garter stitch
Gauge is not crucial here, but it might affect the size of your finished item and how much yarn you need.
