I love knitted feather and fan blankets, but I was looking to crochet something and use up some yarn from my stash, so I came up with a crocheted version of a feather and fan pattern.

All the yarn came from my stash. I picked yarn that was a worsted or sport weight. I even used baby yarn and doubled it to make it thicker.

It is done entirely in single crochet through the back loops. I love the way the colors pop out on the ridges that this creates.

If you have lots of leftover yarns, this is a good way to use up some of it, and keep warm at the same time.
