PATTERN INFORMATION
Feather Lace Cowl is pretty, light and easier to make than it looks - you only work the lace pattern on every 4th round, the remaining rounds are plain stockinette.

Provisional CO, working in the round, working a lace pattern.

Size
Circumference: 91 cm/ 36 in.
Height: 30 cm/ 12 in.

Gauge
1 patt rep of 16 sts and 32 rows in Ostrich Plumes st is 7 cm/ 2.75 in wide and 10 cm/ 4 in high, after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial in this pattern, but if you change it, yarn amount needed will change too.

Materials
Yarn:
460 m/ 500 yds of Malabrigo Sock (100% merino wool, 402 m/ 440 yds per 100g, shown in col. 063: Natural)
or similar fingering weight yarn. Use 100% wool only, otherwise the cowl might not block well.
Needles and notions:
3.5 mm (US size 4) circular needle, 80 cm/ 32 in long
st marker
scrap yarn
3.5 mm (US size E) crochet hook for provisional CO
