Feather Rockstar Coat
This coat or cardigan is the rock and roll coat for you to snuggle in during winter or to swank about outside…Luxurious, deliciously soft and very, very fashionable.
The stitch of this cardigan is usually called the loop stitch or fur stitch, but to my mind the finished effect looks like feathers…
It’s worked in the round, bottom-up. The fronts have picked-up stitches to create a sturdy button band.
The sleeves are picked up from the sleeve opening. The collar is a folded tunnel and is knit separately.

4000(4200,4340,4500,4800,5200) yards ColourMart Cashmere 2/7.5nm Fine DK, held double
Alternatives: lightweight aran yarns, chainette yarns, air yarns, mohairs or microfibers, for example Garnstudio Drops Air, Lana Grossa Garzato. These bulky yarns will take half the yardage of the thinner yarn.
gauge:
10 stitches/12 rows = 4” in pattern stitch
needles:
7mm, 32” circular needles; I use Addi Turbos.
