Feathered Up
My Ravelry store is closed. You can find all of my old and new patterns on my own website: www.kulabradesign.com
FEATHERED UP is nonstranded colorwork shawl. This triangular shawl is worked diagonally, stripe by stripe. Techniques used: garter, slipped stitches, decreases and increases. This pattern shares some techniques with my Sea Shells and Peacock Challenge, but is easier then any of the two.
You will need two highly contrasting colors, gradient, solid or speckled. For the shawl as pictured I used about 150g (600m) of fingering-weight yarn total: 60 g of color, and 90 g of blue.
You will also need short and long circular needles US size 5 or 6.
The prototype (9 motifs on the top) is 165 cm wide at the neck and drops 63cm.
