Incorporating several different Color Loop Knitting vertical stranded motifs and utilizing functional Color Loops for the gusset increases, you will find this sock design interesting on every round from toe to ankle--then finish your socks however you like to: shorties, ribbed, or plain stockinette.

These socks are knit toe-up with an extra set of short rows, then vertical Color Loops are knit over a stockinette background on the instep using twisted stitches, “vertical brioche” and lace, as well as a custom 3-stitch cluster motif. The heel is a non-traditional gusset and heel flap with no M1’s…all increases are made using Color Loops and shadow stitches. The silhouette is snug and elegant. The pattern is designed to minimize counting and add flexibility in stitch counts so that you can mix and match numbers for foot and leg if needed.

What are Color Loops? Loops that hang down vertically that you knit instead of the main yarn on select rows.
