Construction

The cardigan is cast on along the top of the back and starts with shaping to increase to the full width of the shoulders. The back piece is knit until you are ready to join beneath the armholes. The left front is then knit using stitches picked up from the top of the back left shoulder, followed by the right front knit in the same way. The fronts are then joined to the back and the body is knitted until it is full length. The sleeves are knit top down, using stitches picked up around the armholes.

Fit

The cardigan is designed to have a relaxed fit with around 15cm of positive ease, but you can size up or down for more or less ease. The cardigan is designed to be cropped, with the pattern written for a length of 50cm, but instructions are given for how to customise this.
