This pattern produces a bookmark with a three-leaf clover on one end and a four-leaf clover on the other.

MATERIALS:

• Cotton yarn.
Note: I tested this pattern with several brands and varied gauges of cotton yarn including: DMC Petra Cotton #5, (color 5905, pictured), Peaches and Cream (in Forest Green), Aunt Lydia’s Mercerized Cotton #3 (in Sage), Lino Royal by Wolle Rodel (worsted weight yarn that is 40% linen, 32 % viscose and 28% cotton, discontinued(?))

• 3.25 mm hook.

GAUGE: It has not been established for this pattern. When making slip stitches, however, take care to keep a loose tension.

STITCHES – The pattern is written in US terminology
• Ch: Chain
• Sl st: Slip stitch
• Sc: Single crochet
• Hdc: Half-double crochet
• Dc: Double crochet
• Trc: Treble crochet

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

• Beginner and above.

PROJECT NOTES:

• You may adapt this pattern to any gauge of yarn by using an appropriate hook size. However, you may need to adjust your initial chain to make the bookmark longer or shorter. If you need to adjust the length of your bookmark, choose a length for your starting chain that is a multiple of 4 plus 6.
