Fairy dust (German: “Feenstaub”) turns the most simple things into something extraordinary - like the soft halo of mohair yarn, that makes these mitts a luxurious treat for your hands. This is the kind of magic handknitters do!

Pairing a fingering with a lace mohair yarn, this design is perfect for using up leftovers from a sweater or swatching yarns for a planned project. Play with the different effects you achieve by either choosing coordinating or contrasting colours, and make a series of gifts for various hand sizes!

The yarns are held double for a dense and warm hand part, whereas the cuff and the top of the mitts are worked with one yarn at a time.

Skills required
Casting on and binding off, knitting and purling in the round over a small circumference, working basic increases and decreases, picking up stitches.
A photo tutorial is included for a suggested bind-off method, but you can easily use the cast-on and bind-off that work best for you.
