This pattern was created for the Fiber Art Studio Tour of central Maryland, USA. This special yarn tour is a half dozen local fiber and yarn artists and producers that open their shops and studios in union. Each yarn producer/dye artist offers mini-skeins of 100 yards each and similar sock weight. However, mini’s could vary in individual fiber contents, spinning, and dye technique.

Therefore - gauge is not important. You could even use some novelty yarns or hand-spun yarns in some of the sections.

It is a semi-circular cape estimated to fit most people. It could be easily adjusted larger by adding additional inset panel sections, but more yarn would be needed (additional mini skeins, but also likely a second full size, 4 ounce skein).
