Felicity
Felicity is a simple beginner-friendly knitting project worked completely in garter stitch. The instructions are designed to be a good first pattern-reading project for a new knitter, and it is a very quick knit.
Instructions have a small calculation at the beginning which allows the wearer to customise the headband to any sized head, and for this reason, tension/gauge is not crucial. There is also a video tutorial for this pattern.
If substituting a yarn, choose one with the ability to stretch and bounce back, like wool or acrylic. I would advise against cotton or bamboo as these do not spring back as well as other fibres.
