A knitting pattern for the Felicity matinee jacket. The gorgeous frilly border and lacy skirt is topped with a warm, moss stitch yoke and sleeves. A smart collar finishes off the neckline.

The skirt is knitted as one until the armhole divide, whilst the button and buttonhole bands are knitted in with the jacket, leaving very little making up at the end.

It’s made here in a delicious mint green but imagine it worked in white for a christening, or red for Christmas.

To fit 3-9 month old baby.
Actual chest measurement: 20 ins (51 cms)
Sleeve seam: 6 ins (15 cms)
Length from neck to tip of points: 11½ ins (29.25 cms)

• Set of circular needles in 4.5mm (UK size 7 and US size 7) or a pair of long needles in the same size.
• Pair of 3.75mm (UK size 9 and US size 5) needles
• Pair of 3.25mm (UK size 10 and US size 3) needles
• Stitch holders
• 120g double knitting yarn
• 3 buttons

Tension
21 stitches and 30 rows to 10 cms (4 ins) over stocking stitch on 4.5 mm needles.
