A small amigurumi doll base pattern with elf ears.

This amigurumi doll is worked in several pieces, a majority of which are worked in the round.

This project does not require a particular yarn weight - I used lightweight yarn (4-ply 100% cotton) and a 1.75mm crochet hook to create the doll pictured.

Please refer to your yarn label to find the appropriate hook size for your chosen yarn - when making amigurumi it is recommended that you use 1 - 2 hook sizes down from the recommended size. The size of your doll will differ based on yarn weight used.

IMPORTANT: Finished dolls made from this pattern are not designed to be suitable for young children. If giving to a child, please take additional precautions (such as embroidering eyes and using fabric glue for extra security when attaching the hair).

This pattern includes the following crochet techniques and stitches:
Working in the round, magic ring, chain, double crochet (UK), increase, decrease, invisible decrease (instructions provided), back loops only, front loops only, puff stitch (instructions provided), optional colour changes and slip stitch.

Materials:

• Lightweight / 4 ply Yarn (less than 50g -I used Infinity Hearts Rose 8/4 yarn) in: Skin colour of choice and (OPTIONAL) tights / underwear colour of choice
• Chunky or variegated yarn (colour and weight of your choice) for the doll’s hair
• 1.75 mm hook (or hook size according to your yarn label / weight)
• Toy Stuffing of your choice
• (Suggested) 6 mm Safety Eyes (note: Eyes can be embroidered if preferred)
• Black / grey / white thread or yarn for facial details
• Stitch marker
• Large-eyed needle / Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Cosmetic Blush for decoration (optional)
