You need about 500g of felting yarn and a rest of felting yarn for the flower.
This pattern asks for felting yarn. Don’t use yarn which is fit to be washed in the machine.
If you are flexible with the size of the bag, the gauge is not important. Just watch out for the proportion and knit 1/3 bigger than you want the bag to be.
