So many things seem to come full circle and Canning Jar Cozies are back. I remember my Grandma carried ice tea and lemonade to picnics in canning jars. Health concerns over plastic bottles being linked to breast cancer and aluminum containers being linked to Alzheimer’s have brought back the classic glass jar. Many lids styles are now available such as flip top which make the jars easy to use. The felted cozy is meant to provide a little protection against breakage should the jar drop and provide some temperature insulation for cold drinks. With a shorter strap, the cozies also fit wine bottles. TGreat stash project for Cascade 220 or Lamb’s Pride yarns and it creates colorful striped cozies. When using your yarn stash, be sure all yarns are felt-able and from the same manufacturer.
