Felted Furry Cat Toys
These furry cat toys are knit from wool yarn combined with
eyelash yarn. The items are then thrown into the washing machine to felt them. If you have a kitten or a cat that eats string, make the plain versions instead.
Two distinct shapes are offered in the toy pattern. A ball- knit in the round with a bell and fiberfill inside, and a tub knit flat and seamed up with eyelets on either end to close it up over a bell or other noisemaker. Both are made holding a wool yarn and an eyelash yarn held together.
Warning: Do not use the eyelash yarn if your pet eats string. Simply make using 2 strands of the wool. Serious intestinal injuries and even death may be caused if the cat eats the string.
