This hanging basket pattern is the perfect project to start if you’ve never felted before or are looking for a quick and easy project to whip up. It’s amazing to see your pieces transform in the washing machine as they shrink and the fibers intertwine. Plus, the intertwining of the wool makes the basket hole-proof so you won’t have things slipping through your stitches.
I’ve included instructions for 2 sizes:

Large: finished size = ~23.5” circumference, ~9” deep
Small: finished size = ~17.5” circumference, ~7.5” deep

There are no complicated stitches (almost all half-double crochet) and the entirety of the project will take 1-2 nights. As with all my felted patterns, they are designed to be easy to make and allow the laundry machine do all the hard work! If you’ve never felted before, you will probably get hooked! Enjoy!
