This bag is quickly double-knit on US #13 needles with yarn held double. It can be made any size by simply casting on more/fewer stitches and knitting more/fewer rows.

The instructions are for an iPad or netbook with a finished size of 10-1/2” W x 7-1/2” L x 1-3/4” D (gusset area top and bottom).

There are no seams (knit flat, but it ends up a seamless in-the-round construction), and it is felted after completion. The knot on the front is just loosely tied and can be untied to wrap the icord around the bag completely and tuck into the front, or can be stitched as a permanent design element. Instructions included:

  • double knitting technique (one-color, knit flat to produce a seamless in-the-round bag)
  • icord tie
  • Josephine Knot shown on the front
  • brief description of my felting technique
