This pattern begins with a round base, then is worked in the round from the base to create the sides. Post stitches add texture even after felting.
It is suggested that you use self-striping wool or other animal fiber that can be felted; washable wool will not work well. Begin with at least 300 yards. Solid color yarns also work great.
