This cover is first knitted on a 9mm bulky knitting machine with a wool yarn followed by a series of washing & drying the knitted piece. Then with an embroidery machine the design is embroidered followed by seaming the sides. It is important to use the yarn the pattern calls for as various yarns shrink differently in felting causing results to be unsatisfactory. The butterfly design shown may be purchased online as indicated in the pattern, but is not included as part of the pattern. Optional designs would be a purchased applique, beading, tatting, a crocheted design or hand embroidery. (any design that could be sewn on the felted piece)
