Felted Market Bag or Carrier Bag 012
These bags are made up of squares that are knitted in the round. The squares are joined by picking up stitches from those around them.
There are two versions; the Market Bag has knitted shoulder straps, the Carrier Bag has an extra square on the front and back that is split to form the handles.
The bags can be worked in any Aran-weight (US: medium-weight) wool that will felt.
I worked the blue Market Bag in a colour-change yarn, using the same colour sequence for each square (Noro Kureyon).
I worked the Carrier Bag in a magic ball yarn made up of different colour-change yarns (Noro) together with solid colour yarns.
The bags could be worked in regular stripes using solid colour yarns, or each square could be a different colour. The choice of yarn is up to you.
