Felted Mittens
Here it finally is: the pattern for the traditional Norwegian “tovavotter” (felted mittens). These mittens are super quick to knit up, and you can felt them by putting them in a washing machine or a table dryer. The pattern also has instructions on how to do the machine felting.
The size is easily adjustable: you simple felt them more or less, until they fit whoever you want them to fit. Be aware that felting is not reversible, so it’s better to felt too little, and repeat the process, that to felt too much.
To work this pattern you’ll need 100 grams of the main color and a about 15 grams of the contrast color. Make sure the yarn you’re using is 100 % wool which is not superwash treated (as superwash is made specifically not to felt)
