These pretty felted pears are quick, easy and provide a great introduction to both machine felting and adding needle-felted accents to your felted projects. The base pear is knit in the round from the bottom up, stuffed with fiberfill, then felted in washing machine. A contrasting color may be added post-felting by needle-felting deconstructed yarn to the surface of the pear. Comprehensive instructions are provided for both machine felting and needle-felting.

Yarn Requirements:

Pear: 1 skein Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted for the base pear (36 yds per pear); Color Options: Avocado (green), Seminola (yellow), Red- Choose 1 color for the base color of the pear and a second color if you want to add some color variation.

Stem: 1 skein Knit Picks Palette; Color: Briar Heather (3 yds per pear)

Leaf: 1 skein Knit Picks Palette; Color: Grass (12 yds per pear)

Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers, sewing needle, fiberfill, needle-felting needle (such as Dimensions Feltworks Felting Needles and Foam Block)
