Beginning with the flap, which is worked in rows with increases on both the knit and purl sides, the purse flap takes shape. Once completed, stitches are cast on using the cable cast on method to create the body of the purse all the while working in the round, increasing at various intervals along both sides of the purse creating the hourglass shape and then decreases are worked to form the rounded shaping at the bottom of the purse. No need to sew this together: turn the purse inside-out and use the 3-needle bind off. All one must do is weave in the cast on and bind off tails to finish this purse. A strap is crocheted which can be used or tucked inside to convert this purse to a clutch.

But the best part of all …
this can be knitted in six hours!!!
