Don’t know what to do with the sweater that accidentially got shrunk in the washing machine?
Or maybe your favorite Merino wool or cashmere sweater got ripped, or have a permanent stain on it?

RECYCLE and make baby slipper shoes!!

Here’s a pattern that will let you sustain the life of your favorite sweaters by recycling them as nifty baby shoes. This pattern is for making baby footwear from parts of a felted/shrunken sweater, which are assembled using simple crochet stitches (slip stitch, chain, single crochet).

The pattern comes with detailed written instructions, lots of step-by-step photos, and includes US and UK abbreviations, plus imperial and metric measurements. It also has a simple tutorial on how to (intentionally) felt your own sweater(s).

The pattern includes two sizes to fit babies 6-12 months old - soles measure approx. 4-1/3” (10.5cm).
