Hello dear knitters and dog lovers!

I have had the honor of creating a collection for the Femund race in connection to the World Championships in dog sledding 2025! This collection includes sweaters and small knitwear items. I hope you enjoy the collection and that the garments will keep you warm on many adventures in the years to come. In the patterns, you can choose what kind of dog you want on your mittens, as this is not just mittens for people with competition dogs, but for everyone who likes to take their dog on adventures. In this collection many ideas came to life, so my friend Ellinor Øie (@Potitstrikk) got the job of write this pattern. Thank you for good help in a busy time.

Size Women (Men) 

Gauge after felting
Women: 10 cm stranded knitting on 4 mm needle= 20 stitches.
Men: 10 cm stranded knitting on 4,5 mm needle = 19 stitches

Yarn
Luna, Vidde and/or Varde from Hillesvåg, Donegal + from Lang yarns. 

Yarn requirements
Main Colour: 100 (100) gram
Pattern Colour 1: 50 (50) gram
Pattern Colour 2: leftover yarn

Measurements after light felting
Circumference: approx 22 (24) cm
Length: approx 27 cm

Needles
Women: circular needle or double pointed needles in size 3 and 4 mm.
Men: circular needle or double pointed needles in size 3,5 and 4,5 mm.
