The lace stitch pattern in this piece reminds me of the old wooden-and-wire fence rows that line the farm fields around my childhood home. In the summers, I loved to see the medium and tall prairie grasses and flowers weave their way through the wires, making a perfect and rustic blend of man and nature.

A classic rectangular wrap with sections of stockinette and lace that can be easily memorized, this project is intended to be a meditative knit. I recommend using one solid color and one variegated color to showcase the lace sections in two ways. The color options are truly endless! Due to its simple shape, this pattern is easily customizable.
