The meandering, entwined Renaissance motif of this cowl made me think of pathways twisting through marshes and fens. Fenne is the Old English word for these boggy places. The hand-dyed yarn used for the motif (contrast colour) is called Lichen Blossoms – evoking a landscape of mosses, lichens, and other marshland plants.
