Make your own Fennec Fox! This adorable little fox uses its large ears to detect prey moving underground and to cool itself down in the desert heat. The smallest of the canid family, the Fennec Fox can be found in the deserts of north Africa.

The 41 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Fennec Fox. PLUS there is a 16 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Fennec Fox using worsted weight yarn.

Recommended for INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary). The markings on the head use colorwork/tapestry crochet. This pattern does not provide a tutorial for the basics of colorwork/tapestry crochet.

A finished Fennec Fox made using Worsted Weight yarn is approximately 15” long from nose to rump, 14.5” tall from foot to ear tip, and 4.5” wide across the shoulders.

To make a Fennec Fox using Worsted weight yarn you will need:
Main color yarn (beige/tan): 240 yds
Light Accent color yarn (white/cream): 85 yds
Dark Accent color yarn (black): 8 yds
Inner Ear color yarn (pink or light accent color): 20 yds
Plus an additional ~30 yds Main Color and ~15 yds Dark Accent Color for tail floof
G (4/4.25mm) crochet hook (or preferred amigurumi hook)
One pair of 18mm plastic safety eyes
Poly-fil or other stuffing
5 pieces of 18-inch 18-gauge, paper-wrapped floral wire
Darning needle
Stitch markers
