This messenger bag has a crocheted outer shell, and the pattern includes a very simple tutorial on creating a pocket lining using the measurements from your finished bag.

This pattern has been tested thoroughly by my wonderful group of experienced testers.

I consider this a beginner pattern, as one with very basic skills in crochet could easily accomplish it.

To work this pattern, you will need to understand the following crochet techniques/abbreviations in US terms;

SLST slip stitch
SC single crochet
HDC half double crochet
TR treble/triple crochet
How to increase and decrease stitches.
