FERN LEAF
I designed this Fern Leaf back in Nov 2016, inspired by the incredible Japanese textile artist Jung Jung. It was a part of the botanical crochet collection I designed which was inspired by her, and which we enjoyed making in my local workshops. My botanical collection including the Chamomile Bouquet and the Chrysanthemum Flower is available on my Etsy shop.

NOTES
The instructions are written step by step following with pictures, to make it easier for you to follow. You have to be familiar with the basic crochet stitches. Watch “how to single crochet / half double crochet” on Youtube to get some help if needed. In this work you will have to work ONLY into the upper loop of each stitch.

Length - 6.29” (16 cm)
Width - 3.9” (10 cm)
Measured after blocking.

YARN
Approx 14 yard, 5 gr’ of a 4 ply sport weight cotton yarn. The Fern Leaf as seen in the pictures was crocheted in Granny Kit cotton. Colour Pine Forest. Please feel free to use any yarn you have in stash.

SUGGESTED HOOK SIZE
2 mm crochet hook.

GAUGE
27 sts & 32 rows = 4 x 4” (10 x 10 cm)
measured on sc sts.
