Fern Leaf Mitts
Worn with the fern leaf design on the top of mitt or to the side - Instructions given for both options

Circumference: 18cm to fit palm size up to 23cm including thumb
Length: Short - 19.5cm (7.3/4”)
Long - 23cm (9”)

Needles: 3.50mm/US4
8ply yarn: Short 1 x 50g 100m/109yrds ball
Long 2 x 50g 100m/109yrds balls OR 125m/136yrds
Approx tension: 30 rows/23sts in stocking stitch per 10cm/4”

Other requirements: 2 stitch markers

Note: If you prefer a larger, looser fitting mitt, use 3.75mm/US5 needles.
This will increase the circumference to 19cm (to fit palm size up to 25cm including thumb) & increase the length to:
short 21.5cm 7.3/4”, long 25cm 9” - See two bottom right photos on front cover - Similar yarn requirements as above depending on the thickness of the yarn itself. Best to have a bit more on hand , particularly if knitting the longer mitts.
Tension approx: 28rows/21st per 10cm/4”
