Fernweh Hooded Poncho
Fernweh is a German word meaning “An ache for distant places; missing places you’ve never been. A certain craving for travel.” The Fernweh Hooded Poncho is the perfect piece to quickly throw over your shoulders on the way out the door to the next great adventure.
The poncho is worked from bottom front with an I-cord cast on, shaped over the shoulders using short rows, and down the back with an I-cord bind off. Side edges are finished with integrated I-cord edging. Hood is added by picking up stitches around neck, and then knit flat and seamed at top. An optional I-cord draw string can be made and slipped through the front I-cord edging of hood. Poncho may be customized to desired length, but extra yarn may be needed
Pattern is written only.
