The Ferry Street Wrap was inspired by the nightlife in my small town, where my favorite craft cocktail bar sits downtown on the corner of Ferry and Main. This summer I’ll be sipping bourbon cocktails, my Ferry Street Wrap over my shoulders, as the warm days turn to cool evenings. This wrap is appropriate for all seasons; drape it over your shoulders or bundle it around your neck on cool days in autumn, winter, and spring. A stockinette lover’s dream, Ferry Street Wrap is a long, rectangular wrap knitted in a bold openwork pattern with long expanses of beautiful stockinette. It has a lovely purled slip stitch selvage and is bordered with seeded rib at each end.

Pattern includes a schematic and instructions to customize to the amount of yardage you have. Due to the simplicity of the design, no charts were needed. Experienced knitters should be able to adjust for any yarn size.

Needles & Notions: US size 6 (4.25 mm), 24–32 in/61–81 cm circular needle or long straight needles.
Small scale or measuring tape to estimate yarn needed (see pattern notes).
Row counter (optional).

Yarn & Yardage: At least 925 yd/845 m fingering or light fingering weight yarn; more if a longer or wider wrap is desired.

Gauge: In stockinette, 23 sts and 32 rows per 4 in/10 cm (unblocked) and 22 sts and 28 rows per 4 in/10 cm (blocked).

Final Measurements: 73 in/185.5 cm x 18 in/46 cm. Measurements taken after blocking.
