JACKET

An elegant jacket with a roll collar, and an easily adjustable waterfall front that can be made short as shown, or longer with more wave. Sheer, lightweight, and very softly draped. Worked in a large open diamond mesh using #10 crochet thread or light fingering weight yarn. Can be personalised by working blossom motifs in the lace mesh with a plain yarn (included), or use your favourite variegated yarn. Can be shaped for women or men.

(1) A prescribed pattern with row-by-row written instructions and detailed stitching charts for fourteen adult sizes. The defined gauge for this pattern suits makers with normal tension.

(2) A recipe-style tutorial that can be used to alter the pattern for your own stitch gauge, and for any adult size and proportions. Alteration can be as easy as choosing a different garment size based on your back neck measurement. Or each part of the garment may be calculated, e.g. for a wider or taller body type.

CONSTRUCTION

Proceed from the top downwards without seams, beginning from the collar and simply working the components onto each other. Body measurements may be adjusted during construction if necessary.
