For this pattern I have used a DK yarn which I have then doubled up using two strands held together, you could use a single strand of a bulkier yarn or even a super chunky yarn. Doubling up the yarn, or using a thicker yarn with a smaller hook allows for the structure of the hat to keep its shape.

The entire hat is worked as a spiral and includes three design options:

1. Plain Colour
2. Striped
3. Dragonfly Pattern

You will need:

• Crochet Hooks – depending on you yarn weight but somewhere between 3.5mm & 4.5mm should work for most doubled up DK yarns
• Yarn - colour and weight of your choice – approximately 150g/490yrds in total.
• A yarn needle
• Scissors
• Stitch Markers
• Tape Measure
