You need 1 skein of 4 colors. Thise 4 skeins will last till at least 3 hats, probably 4. The hat on the photo is knitted in Indigo, Ertegrønn, Naturhvit og Isbre (Indigo, Pea Green, Off-Whote and Glacier.

Gauge on needles 3 (2.5 US): With stocking knit with one thread dlying flat (not stretched) gauge is 27 stiches wide per 10 cm / 4 inches wide and 34-36 rounds are 10 cm / inches high.
