The festival top is a very versatile top that you can wear at your summer parties. Is knitten top to bottom following a striped pattern and adding color to the edges with the Intarsia technique. The pattern is written so that you can adapt and personalize it to your liking: more or less stripes, more or less color, more or less length… Every time you knit it you can have a different top. It also includes video tutorials that explain the different stitches and techniques used to knit it.

Suggested wool:
This top is designed for sport weight yarn but it is possible to knit it in fingering as long as the gauge matches. The original swatch is knitted with Audine Wools Interlock (100g/321m) in two colours: Pigment and Beaches.

For a length of 30 cm, approximately a total of 184, 222, (260, 298, 336), 374, 412, 450 m is used. Making it like the original, you will need half the meters for main color and the other half for contrasting color.

Due to the construction of each material, weight allowance will vary greatly if substituting yarn. It is recommended to go by the yardage needed, instead of gram weight when picking substitute yarns. The quantity will also vary depending on the desired length. The pattern includes lengths for 30, 35 and 40 cm.

Materials:
4 mm (6 US) circular needles with a cable of 80/100 cm.
Stitch markers and tapestry needle.

Gauge:
25 stitches x 34 rows in 10 cm with 4 mm needles (6 US) * in stockinette stitch (blocked).
Adjust the size of the needle if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Techniques:
Cast-on, intarsia, knit and purl, slip stitches, increases, and bind-off.
